In the past year or so, most sellers are staying on longer and working more closely with the buyers due to earnouts built into the deal. Women business owners often face changes in their own level of work commitment as well as their spouses because they often employ their husbands. This can cause additional stress and should be considered when a woman plans to sell her business.
